The website of the Council of State Historical Records Coordinators contains a listing of all states, which includes telephone and fax numbers, in addition to e-mail addresses for historical records maintained by each state (including Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Virgin Islands, and North Mariana Islands.)  This information is useful for obtaining service data for reconstruction purposes.

On the website for the National Guard Bureau follow the TAG Roster links; it will take you to information about that particular state.
